At the LSE, Al Marri, who also participated in the market close
ceremony, met with Julia Hogget, CEO of the LSE, Michael Mainelli,
Lord Mayor of the City of London, and various representatives from
governmental and financial sectors of both countries.

The discussions emphasized the robust historical ties between the
UAE and the UK, with a focus on elevating these relations to new

levels of prosperity. Al Marri highlighted the fintech and financial
services sectors as crucial areas of economic cooperation.

This visit marked an opportunity to strengthen collaboration in financial
market activities and digital solutions. It served as a platform for
exchanging best practices and expanding access to promising

prospects in new economy sectors for businesses in both countries.

The UAE economic delegation’s visit included the ‘Investopia London’
event, in collaboration with HM Treasury, under the theme “UAE-
British Financial Services: Partnership for the Future.” This follows the
October 2023 agreement between the UAE and the UK to enhance
cooperation in financial services. The agreement focuses on enabling
the private sector, startups, and entrepreneurs to access market
