Announced on the opening day of Airport Show 2025, the multi-year agreement includes

the installation of HI-SCAN 6040 CTiX Model-S computed tomography scanners in

Terminals 1, 2, and 3. These next-generation systems feature high-resolution 3D imaging

and automated object recognition, allowing passengers to keep electronics and liquids in

their bags—streamlining security checks and reducing wait times.

Certified by global regulatory bodies including the TSA and ECAC, the scanners also

integrate smart lane management and automated tray return systems to boost passenger

flow and operational performance.

The initiative supports Dubai’s broader strategy to create a secure, seamless, and

technology-driven airport infrastructure. As international passenger traffic through DXB

continues to climb, these upgrades are designed to maintain world-class standards in

safety and service.

said H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, reinforcing the emirate’s reputation as

Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation, highlighted

the project as a key step in integrating smart infrastructure, while Suzanne Al Anani, CEO

of Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects, emphasized its role in future-proofing airport

operations.
