DXB is not the first or the only airport to use Smiths scanning technology. Airports worldwide are
using this technology to ensure seamless travel. According to a press release from Smiths, various

airports across the United States awarded a contract to the company to supply advanced CT

checkpoint systems.

Likewise, Jeju International Airport (South Korea) is the first airport globally to install the HI-SCAN
6040 CTiX for checkpoint screening. Hong Kong International Airport, Kansai International Airport

(Japan), Zurich Airport (Switzerland), and many others joined the list later on. Here’s a complete list:
