The UAE and Ukraine have concluded the terms of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership

Agreement (CEPA).

The end of negotiations was confirmed with the signing of a joint statement by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed

Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade and Yulia Svyrydenko, Ukraine’s First Deputy

Prime Minister and Minister of Economic Development & Trade.

Once implemented, the deal will remove or reduce tariffs on key product lines, eliminate trade

barriers and promote fair market access to exporters from both sides.

It will also support the rebuilding of key industries and infrastructure in Ukraine, while also helping to
strengthen supply chains to the MENA region for major exports such as grains, machinery and

metals.
