Red Hat OpenShift now supports NVIDIA BlueField data processing units — offering
manufacturers and industrial users a new platform for secure, high-performance AI and
cloud-native infrastructure.

Software-defined manufacturing and industrial data centres are evolving. Red Hat has
announced support for OpenShift on NVIDIA BlueField DPUs, enabling companies to deploy
demanding AI workloads and next-generation infrastructure with improved networking, storage
and security capabilities.
AI applications increasingly compete with system services — like networking, encryption and
storage — for resources in data-centre environments. The new platform isolates AI workloads
on containers via OpenShift while offloading infrastructure-services tasks onto BlueField
DPUs. This separation helps improve performance and strengthen security.
