A total of 2,300 personnel from various entities were deployed by Dubai authorities to
respond to the adverse effects of yesterday’s weather conditions, which left roads and low-

lying areas flooded until today, March 10.

Several social media posts by Dubai authorities such as the Road and Transport Authority
(RTA) and the Dubai Media Office showcased emergency response teams demonstrating

“high levels of preparedness in managing emergency situations caused by adverse weather
conditions throughout the emirate.”

Despite the floods and heavy rains, the teams carried and utilized more than 700 units of
equipment including 250 tankers, 300 rainwater pumps, over 180 emergency vehicles, field

survey vehicles, machinery and other heavy equipment, to deal with water-logged
conditions.
