Ghanim Mubarak Al Hajeri, Director-General of the General Authority of Sports, has
lauded the UAE Team Emirates for their historic win at the 2024 Tour de France, adding
to their earlier Giro d'Italia triumph.

In a statement, Al Hajeri highlighted that this double triumph reflects the unwavering
support of the UAE leadership for its athletes on the global stage.

"This achievement underscores our athletes' potential and ability to excel at the highest
levels," Al Hajeri said. He also reaffirmed the authority's commitment to working with
sports partners to develop talent, enhance various sports, and elevate the UAE's global
standing.
