Focus on biodiversity and historical preservation

As the oldest pearl town in the Gulf, the project will prioritise the preservation of natural

wildlife and archaeological sites.

This comes as the Umm Al Quwain government continues its dedication to fostering

sustainable developments that enable it to preserve natural heritage while promoting
growth.

The island boasts strong biodiversity with varied flora and fauna, dense mangroves and

healthy wildlife and sea life. It is home to mudflats, salt marshes, and natural rock edges,
along with archaeological sites, including a sixth-century monastery and stone circles.
