It has been effectively applied in European Economic Area countries since 2008. Many countries with advanced chemical industries have also adopted REACH or REACH-like legislation.In T%u00fcrkiye, the KKDIK Regulation was published in 2017 and entered into force in 2018 to provide enhanced protection of human health and the environment against the adverse effects of chemicals. The implementation of KKDIK will facilitate the development of in-silico methods for generating data necessary for dossier preparation, reduce animal testing and costs by encouraging cooperation among companies manufacturing or importing the same substance, and%u2014most importantly%u2014ensure the safe use of substances at all stages of their lifecycle.
