Orchestra coming to Barrow

THE Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra is coming
to Barrow next year as part of a long-term creative partnership, it
was announced today (October 31).
The first concert is on Saturday January 20, 2024 at The Forum Theatre on
Duke Street with Domingo Hindoyan conducting Beethoven’s Fifth
Symphony.
The Liverpool Philharmonic and its musicians will be at the heart of
Barrow's musical life for the next three years which includes more
concerts at The Forum and town hall with events designed for under-5s
and dementia-friendly performances.
The pairing is hoped to give more people the opportunity to enjoy live
orchestral music in their local community.
Chief Conductor Domingo Hindoyan said: "The Orchestra and I are very
happy to be bringing our love of music to Barrow.
"Music is for everyone and through our concerts, Youth Company, In
Harmony and Music and Health programmes we have seen first-hand
how music can transform lives.
"Our passion for music is at the heart of every one of our concerts, and
we can’t wait to share this with everyone in Barrow."
The partnership is supported by Arts Council England which will be
working in close collaboration with Westmorland and Furness Council,
