Working in collaboration with a wide range of partners including The
Forum, BarrowFull, Cumbria Music Education Hub, North West Music
Academy, Westmorland & Furness Council, and with the support of Arts
Council England, the orchestra promises to bring 'something for
everyone' over the three year partnership.
Domingo Hindoyan, chief conductor of Liverpool Philharmonic, said: “The
Orchestra and I are so delighted that our partnership in Barrow has
begun.
"We were overwhelmed by the response from everyone who came to our
opening concert and want to thank them for giving us such a warm
welcome. It was great to meet many of the audience and celebrate music
and the beginning of this fantastic partnership.
"We are very happy to work alongside the many creative organisations
here to bring concerts, learning activity and community work to the
people of Barrow. Music is for everyone and through our concerts, Youth
Company, In Harmony and Music and Health programmes we have seen
first-hand how music can transform lives. Our passion for music is at the
heart of every one of our concerts, and we are delighted to share this
with everyone in Barrow.”
