How are drama schools broadening their

               curriculums for today’s students?

               ADVICEBY JOHN BYRNE

As the industry changes, so too, inevitably, does actor training. Teachers and leaders at

drama schools tell John Byrne how their three-year acting courses are preparing
students for a post-Covid, diverse, digital world

As important as instituting practical measures to deliver Covid-safe teaching has been over

the past year, there is an even more fundamental and long-term challenge currently facing

the UK drama school sector: how to develop the typical three-year curriculum to address

imperatives such as diversity and well-being and effectively prepare actors for a 21st-century

               career.
