An Introduction to Video Projection Mapping: Online - “This one-week course will give
participants a unique opportunity to learn and develop the necessary creative and technical skills
to prepare and project video onto a 3D structure, using industry standard video projection
software Resolume Arena 7. Participants will be introduced to the basic principles and
techniques of digital video mapping such as preparing digital content, setting up hardware and
keystoning, through a combination of online teaching, and self-directed time to explore tasks and
group discussion.”
Sound Design for Theatre: Online - "This course will introduce participants to the practical,
creative and technological aspects of sound design and management for the stage. The course
will cover the purpose and timeline of theatre sound and roles within this (e.g. Sound Designer,
Principal Sound Engineer and Sound Operator), as well as an introduction to relevant equipment
and software, such as QLab and Pro Tools. This one-week online course is suitable for anyone
with an interest in sound, its manipulation and use in a theatrical or narrative context."
Introduction to Game Audio: Online - “This intensive three-day course will introduce
participants to all the major aspects of game audio through fun and practical tasks, which are
centred around real game projects in Unreal Engine 4 (UE4). Working in a team of up to four
people, each task will challenge participants’ skills in a different area. Participants will create a
game prototype, record and design ambient and gameplay SFX, compose interactive music,
write simple code and implement assets in five different game projects.”
Music Production for Young Women and Girls: Online - “This course has been designed as a
response to an underrepresented group within the industry and has been tailored with
masterclasses and workshops from women in electronic music, as well as advice and a Q&A
session for women and girls wanting to pursue a career in music production. The course aims to
inspire an upcoming generation with the vision to create a more balanced sector. Participants will
develop their skills in composition and music technology through daily workshops, which will
cover a range of skills including composing music for film, making a dance track and developing
a conceptual piece.”
