Working in a variety of media and disciplines, from oil painting and sculpture, to film,
printmaking and textiles, Benney, Edwards and Smith share a reverence for the natural
world and the human form as symbol and vestige, exploring connections between myth,
religious iconography and ritual.
The exhibition begins with a collectors preview on Saturday 4June from 4-6pm. This
will be followed by a Friends Preview from 6-8pm. The following day an Artists talk is
scheduled for Sunday 5June at 2:30pm, in the Peter Pears Recital Room. Aldeburgh
Festival: “Remains to be Seen” has been co-curated by Messums Wiltshire and
Britten Pears Arts and takes place on the 3-26 June 2022, at Snape Maltings, Snape,
Suffolk.
