ABTT and Guildhall launch online
platform to spark theatre innovation

An online platform has been launched by the Association of British Theatre Technicians and
Guildhall School of Music and Drama, for the sharing of innovative ideas in theatre working.
Theatremakers are encouraged to submit ideas for “new and better ways of doing things” to
the Virtual Ideas Platform in any theatrical discipline, including special effects, costume and
wardrobe, wigs, make-up and hair, scenery, stage, sound and lighting.
Ideas can be submitted until August 20.
Proposals will be assessed by a panel of experts, after which successful applicants’ ideas will
be shared with selected group of commercial companies and service providers within the
