Feel the magic of the mountainside in one of three luxury capsules hanging in the Sacred Valley of Peru. You’ll have
to work to get there, though! Skylodge Adventure Suites in Urubamba, Peru are a 400-metre climb up Via Ferrata, but
the result is absolutely worth it. These transparent pods hang off the 1200-foot mountain with a 300-degree view of
everything around you. The pods are made of aerospace aluminum and weather resistant polycarbonate, making
them an all-weather experience. The capsules are 24’ by 8’ and consist of four bedrooms in each. Your package comes
with breakfast, dinner, transportation, and a bilingual guide so you can get the full experience. Considered “one of the
best once in a lifetime experiences,” a stay in one of these luxury pods will cost you $627 CAD per night.

If the idea of an off-grid adobe home on the edge of the Chihuahuan desert piques your interest, then give the Terluna
Adobe Dome a look. Its exterior could be completely at home on the planet Tatooine in the Star Wars universe, and
living this illusion can be had for $122 CAD per night. Though the dome is isolated, it’s accessible. However, with solar
power, propane cook-tops, and a composting toilet, you’ll need an adventurous attitude to enjoy the remarkable
sunrises and sunsets, as well as the light pollution-free night sky.
This brief list barely scratches the surface of the cool factor that permeates the Airbnb community. From caves and
castles to turrets and tree-houses, there are plenty of surprises and delights to look forward to for your own future
adventures. ■
