                                                Stop, Collaborate, & Listen
                                            Thinking Mathematically Together

                                     Session 175 will be held in Congaree A from 10:00 - 10:50
                          Building Mulplicave Thinkers, not Memorizers

To develop mulplicave thinking, we need to move students away from addive

thinking. So how do we move students beyond memorizaon, songs, and skip
counng? They need to be manipulang, creang, and collaborang. Join us to
experience a variety of engaging strategies that develop mulplicave thinking for

basic facts and beyond! Grades 3 - 5

Tami Broomall, Spartanburg School District 6

Dr. Cindy Pridgen, Spartanburg District 6

                                     Session 176 will be held in Congaree B from 10:00 - 10:50
The Power of Quesoning and Invesgaon in the Math

                                                      Classroom

I will illustrate how modifying quesoning methods can boost student thinking,

comprehension, and engagement. Furthermore, I will demonstrate how
integrang inquiry into daily math lessons can build higher-order thinking
               processes. Grades 6 - 12
