Monetary Contribution to PM CARES Fund
CPCL had donated a sum of Rs. 2 Crores to
‘Prime Minister’s Citizen Assistance and Relief in
Emergency Situations Fund (PM CARES Fund)’ to
support the government in building capacities for
quick emergency response and effective community
resilience.
In addition, sum of Rs. 1.13 Crores was also
donated to PM CARES Fund by our employees by
contributing their 2 days salary to join hands with
the Nation for this noble cause in supporting the
government.
Payment to Contractual Workers
during Lockdown Period
In line with the government directives, CPCL had
taken a policy decision to pay the April salary to the
Contractual Workers subject to terms and conditions.
Social Support to needy by
providing food & shelter
Donated food relief materials (5 kg rice packets of
1825 nos) worth of Rs. 3.65 lakh to North Chennai
people, who were worst affected due to COVID-19
disruption, due to its thick population and poor
infrastructure.
This support was extended as majority of the
people’s livelihood and survival is dependent on
fishing and with the lockdown situation prevailing
continuously, the livelihood of the people residing
in North Chennai was affected.
Medical support to address health crisis
a) A sum of Rs. 2.33 lakhs was spent towards
provision of 10 numbers of 43” inches LED
Television to the Additional Director General
of Police, Cyber Crime Wing, Chennai to set
