Hi, my name is Tia, and
I am eight years old,

And I have another story
That must be told.

This is a story about Jack and me,

And it’s pretty cool as you will see.

You may have heard this story before,
But when I tell it there is so much more.

When I start reading, my mind gets going.
Then my head fi lls with thoughts,
And these thoughts start fl owing.

Then it becomes my story,
It becomes my tale.

I get pulled into the book,
It’s like being swallowed by a whale.

Sometimes I feel as if

I am really there,

I can even feel the wind,
Blowing through my hair.
