Did you know these five facts?
1. About half of the people in hospitals around the world are there due
to a water-related disease.
2. There are close to 1 billion people without access to clean and safe
water.
3. In developing countries, as much as 80% of illnesses are linked to
poor water and sanitation.
4. About 1 out of every 5 deaths under the age of 5 worldwide is due to
a water-related disease.
5. It is estimated that about 40 Billion hours per year are spent
collecting water in sub-Saharan Africa.
