Health Plan SBCs

Even if you have made no
coverage changes in your
recent or upcoming plan
year, the Summary of Ben-
efits & Coverage (SBC) will
be updated in 2014 with
changes afforded by the
ACA.

The SBCs in 2014 must
contain maximum out-of-
pocket cost information for
ALL plans.

Since an SBC is a required
document for all eligible
employees on your medical
during open enrollment,
do not get caught with a
2013 version that does not
some the required out-of-
pocket maximums.

If you are a fully-insured
group plan, your carrier
should supply you with the
updated SBC.
