Dear Mr. Diamond:
Re: Muskoka Lakes Museum: Transformation 2030
TCI Management Consultants, teamed with Reich+Petch Architects, is pleased to respond to your Request for Proposals for this most interesting ‘transformation’ assignment. Our two firms have worked together on many projects, fusing the strategic planning, marketing and operational expertise of TCI with the architectural and exhibit design creative talent of Reich+Petch for the benefit of our clients. Together we have worked on strategic planning, feasibility assessment, and master plan projects for many museums and historic sites across Canada. In essence, these have all been ‘transformation’ projects for our clients. And of course, in the post pandemic reality into which all cultural organizations will be moving in the next few years, ‘transformation’ to the next reality is going to be imperative.
In addition to our extensive work together, Reich+Petch is familiar with the Muskoka Lakes Museum, being currently involved in a proposal for exhibit design work for the organization. If that project is ultimately awarded to R&P this will enable us to exploit certain economies of scale and efficiencies in the undertaking of the work; we will know the institution and will be able to do the work without losing time and momentum on the ‘learning curve’.
In this short proposal we have followed your Terms of Reference closely, and present our understanding of the situation; our study approach and methodology; the proposed project timing and scheduling; the budget; and a summary of our relevant related experience. You had not asked for references, but we are pleased to present several in the event that you wish to speak to other joint clients of ours who can speak to the depth and professionalism of our work.
Thank you for the opportunity to present our approach and experience to you. We look forward to answering any questions you may have, and to discussing the project in greater detail with you.
Sincerely,
Jon Linton
