Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity Museum Study (2019)
The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) located in Ottawa, has a national outreach and provides a variety of educational and counseling services, with a focus on youth and marginalized communities. As part of a move into new space, the CCGSD wanted to assess the feasibility of a museum / exhibit hall that would focus on the history of the gay and trans community and provide event space for a variety of workshops and educational activities.
Neuberger (2019) Holocaust Education Centre Business Plan (2019)
TCI developed a Business Plan that looked at the financial implications of the Neuberger moving to a more prominent location within an overall revitalization of the United Jewish Appeal (UJA) campus in north Toronto. The plan also involved considerable expansion of the space available at Centre, as well as new forms of interpretation using technology in an era where first-person witnessing of the Holocaust by survivors and descendants was in decline due to age.
Oakville Museum Coach House Study (2016-17)
Working with ATA Architects, we assessed alternative uses for the Coach House (a unique early 20th century structure located on the grounds of the Oakville Museum). The work involved staff meetings and workshop sessions, an architectural review of the space, and public meetings. A use compatible with the adjacent museum operation was selected after the assessment process, and this direction has been endorsed by Council.
