• Lady Oteal Wyatt Gilmore, TTA 50th Anniversary Liaison, revved the crowd up for the 50th Anniver-
sary of Top Teens of America. She asked Ladies to get prepared to provide information about their for-
mer Teens. She will be creating a Facebook page for the 50th Anniversary so that we can invite as many
former Teens back as possible. A logo will also be created so that we can start promoting the event ear-
ly. We are looking for a former Teen who has made it in his/her own right to be the Honorary Chair-
man. If you have any suggestions, please contact the National President.
• An Invitation to P-TOP 2018 was given by the Fabulous Starlight Chapter of Las Vegas, Nevada! P-
Top 2018 will be held at the Suncoast Hotel and Casino, September 27-30, 2018.
Fun Night - TLOD's Got Talent
You missed it if you did not attend this event. The food was great and the talent was extraordinary! We
had three very gracious Atlanta local celebrities who took time out of their busy schedules to hang with us
as the Mistress of Ceremonies and judges, along with our own Lady Kimberly Willis Green, Atlanta
Peachtree Chapter President. The celebrities were: Audrey Washington, News Reporter WSB-TV, Mis-
tress of Ceremonies; Ms. Valerie Sommerville, Radio Host/Producer; and Ms. Marissa Mitchell, Anchor/
Multimedia Reporter Fox 5 Atlanta.
The talent roster was diverse, entertaining, and as follows:

Lady Shanita Baraka Akintonde - Michael Jackson Live
Teen Sheena Dean - Dramatic Recitation
Lady Nichole Dodd/Lady Kathy Wilson - Musical Selections
Teen Joshua Sam - Drummer
Lady Velda Hunter - One Woman Play
Lady Cynthia Freeman Clay - Musical Selection
Lady Sharon Penson - Spoken Word
Lady Patricia Carson - Musical Selection
The winners were:
1st Place - Lady Velda Hunter
2nd Place - Lady Sharon Penson
3rd Place - Teen Joshua Sam
In addition to the winning prizes, each Teen who participated received $100 each from the Anthony W.
Hall, Jr. TTA Endowment Fund.
Next was the dance contest and Lady Shanita Baraka Akintonde was the 1st place winner.
