37th Area Two Leadership Conference
Welcome To Iselin
On April 11 – 14, 2019, Lady Sandra R. Clark, National Area Two Director, convened her second leadership con-
ference at the Renaissance Woodbridge Hotel in Iselin, New Jersey. Over 270 Ladies, Teens, and Lords converged
on the conference to engage in a variety of activities focused on the theme “Retool, Reclaim and Refocus:
Strengthening Our Commitment to Serve”. Since the last conference, the area grew to 16 chapters as a result of
the newly chartered Haymarket-Gainesville Chapter (Organizer – Lady Monice Jackson-Ferrell) and Montgomery
County Chapter (Organizer – Lady Dee Raynor). The membership took pride in rolling out the ‘pink carpet’ for
these new chapters. Area Two remains on the move and currently ranks 3rd in membership strength among all of
the six areas! Area Two demonstrated that they are truly “Awesome and Amazing!”
On Day 1, Thursday, of the conference, the Dale City-Prince William County Chapter greeted conference regis-
trants with Enthusiasm, Energy, and Excitement! Welcoming events continued throughout the day culminating
with the Area Two Director’s Reception, a “Retool, Reclaim, and Refocus Chit and Chat”, and a Financial Work-
shop focused on new chapters. Vendors opened for business that night with a tremendous variety of items to pur-
chase. And the day culminated with the first of several TLOD Area Two Choir Rehearsals.
On the morning of Day 2, Friday, the Joint Opening Session was presided over by the National Area Two Direc-
tor and the Area Two TTA President, Teen Joshua White. This session officially kicked off the conference and
chapters took the opportunity to showcase their organizations. Throughout the day, plenary sessions were con-
ducted which included the TLOD National President, Lady Drema Lee Woldman, presenting the “State of
TLOD” which was received by a standing ovation from the Area Two ladies.
Conference attendees celebrated the Top Teens of America (TTA) during the “TTA Blue and Silver Luncheon”.
