44th Area Five Leadership Conference

Welcome To Indianapolis

The Top Ladies of Distinction. Inc. 44th Annual Area V Leadership Conference was held April 4-7, 2019 at the
Crowne Plaza Indianapolis Airport Hotel, 2501 South High School Road, Indianapolis, Indiana. Lady Roxyanne
Burris, National Area V Director made a great impact on the Top Ladies, Lords and Top Teens who attended.
The theme was “Honoring the Call to Serve Through Innovation, Dedication and Inspiration”.
Lady Roxyanne Burris worked closely with the Indianapolis Chapter who was the host chapter. The conference
leadership team was led by Lady Annmarie Byers- Area V TTA Advisor, Teen Marcellus Metcalf- Area V TTA
President, Lady Marsha Wells-Indianapolis Chapter President and Lady Sandra Parker, Indianapolis Chapter Con-
ference Coordinator and the members of the Indianapolis Chapter. Special guest at the conference was Lady
Drema Woldman- National TLOD President, Lady Ozell Dean-Founder, Lady Sharon Beard-National First Vice
President, Lady Eddie Lee Marsh-National Second Vice President, Lady Velda Hunter-National Assistant TTA
Director, and Lady Jacqueline Wilcher- National Director of Operations. Former Area V Directors Lady Veronica
Nesbit, Lady Mary Hunter and Lady Gwendolyn Ivory Robinson were also in attendance.

Lady Eddie Lee Marsh, National Second Vice President was the presenter at the Leadership Institute entitled
“Learn to be More Effective”. Health concerns packets were available and had information on a variety of health
issues that affect adults and teens.
A dynamic Host Night Sports Night also took place on Thursday for guest who arrived early. It was entitled “Are
You Ready With Your Half Time Show?”

There was a Speaker Tournament and Spelling Bee for the Area V Top Teens of America. The Campaign Corner
gave members a chance to meet the Top Ladies and Top Teens candidates for a closer look at the coming Area V
elections. There was a Memorial Service and Prayer Breakfast, TLOD and TTA Plenary I and II, Community
Awards night, Literary Café/ Talent Show followed by the TTA Meltdown. Health professionals were also availa-
ble to check eye glasses and old medicine and dental care.
