This wonderful regatta is an opportunity to relive
bygone days of sleek, elegant sailing yachts
gracing the seas. This is a showcase of classic
boats of all sizes and a spectacular exhibition
which begins with a Concours d’Elegance and continues with ve days of races ending with a games day at the Admiral’s Inn and wonderful prize-giving ceremony at Nelson’s Dockyard.
Questa incantevole regata ci ricorda i tempi che furono, quando i mari erano solcati da bellissime barche d’epoca. Richiama le più belle imbarcazioni al mondo insieme a barche classiche di tutte le dimensioni. Una classe dedicata alle coloratissime “Carriacou Boat” aggiunge vivacità a questa regata che debutta con un concorso d’eleganza, continua con cinque giorni di gare ed eventi per terminare, con la premiazione, presso lo storico Nelson’s Dockyard.

It is surely the dream of all sailors to experience Antigua Sailing Week, the regatta ‘where sailing comes rst’! What started 51 years ago for fun has evolved into a week of serious competition with international sailors on boats from all over the world. Every year sees more than 100 participants where English and Falmouth Harbours host crews and supporters to a week they’ll never forget. The top-quality racing is matched by legendary after-race and lay-day parties and events which provide plenty of fun for the crews and the many spectators and visitors.
Iniziata nel 1968 quasi per gioco con un gruppo di amici appassionati velisti, Sailing Week si è evoluta in una settimana di seria competizione con velisti e barche di fama internazionale. Ogni anno, più di 100 imbarcazioni convergono a English Harbour, sulla costa meridionale, per una settimana di vela ad alto livello e indimenticabile. La regata si completa con emozionanti party e con eventi di qualità e massimo divertimento, non solo per gli equipaggi ma anche per i numerosi spettatori e visitatori.
