I LOVE SHOPPING
IN ANTIGUA
you will nd arts, crafts and brand names at duty-free prices. The main duty-free shopping centres are located in the capital, St. John’s, and in the waterfront areas of Redcliffe Quay and Heritage Quay, lovely boutiques are also found in English Harbour, the yachting capital of
the Caribbean.
Heritage Quay hosts many prestigious shops selling internationally known brands of clothing & swimwear, designer eyewear, jewellery & watches, water-sports, perfumery & cosmetics, cigars, alcohol & tobacco, electronics & so much MORE! There are restaurants where you can also sit back and enjoy a cold drink, sample our island cuisine or try your luck at the a state of the art casino.
A few minutes walk from Heritage Quay to the south is Redcliffe Quay. This very pretty pedestrian area, shaded by century-old trees, is a wonderful oasis in
the midst of hot and lively St. John’s. Enjoy its intimate restaurants and bars, a coffee shop, an ice cream parlour, a wine bar and a hairdresser along with many charming shops - some of which are duty free - and art galleries.
The nearby Vendors’ Market has many stalls and shops selling handicrafts, pareos, t-shirts and souvenirs. In the vicinity are many other shops selling shoes and fabrics. At the end of Market Street, next to the fruit market, is the Arts & Craft Market where you’ll nd hand-made soaps, straw baskets, hats, leather bags and shoes.
