Primary Beam Section Secondary Beam Section Load Calculation The flexible and adaptable construction of a Bergvik floor allows designing for loads up to 40kN/m². Distances between support members (Lx, Ly, Lz) are factors guiding the design load. It is therefore important to specify the load requirements when planning a project. During the CAD design of the floor, an advanced load calculation takes place and becomes part of the floor documentation. Pedestal Support Technical Design The floor is built up around a prefabricated steel substructure that is firmly bolted together. It consists of tubular beam sections measuring 80 mm × 40 mm. Pedestal supports are manufactured from the same beam section, and are adjustable ±25 mm from the nominal floor height. Beam sections and assembly parts are hot dip galvanized (Z275), to comply with general building requirements. 2
