          OF CONDITIONALS

            #2       First Conditional: to talk about a probable situation in the future



                 !  Normally  WILL/  CAN/  MAY  is  used  in  the  main
                 clause  of  first  conditional  sentences,  but  you  can  use
                 WOULD/        COULD/  MIGHT  when  something  is  a
                 less possible consequence (not a certain one).



            If I win a lottery, I would buy a new car

            If the government has more money, they might invest more in

            important sectors such as education and health care.

            #3      Second Conditional: to talk about a situation in the present that is
                                      hypothetical, unlikely or impossible.



                      IF + PAST SIMPLE, S + WOULD/ COULD/ MIGHT + V

            If I knew what it was, I would tell you the answer.
