We use the past simple to talk about
5 a Complete the paragraph with the past form of the
completed actions in the past (we often say verbs from the box.
when it happens, e.g. yesterday, last
Saturday/week/summer, at the weekend).

I played golf last Saturday.
I didn’t go to work yesterday.

1. Regular verbs

We add –ed to the base form of the verb

If a regular verb ends in ‘-e’, just add -d.
