Well Construction
CAPABILITIES: Matrix operates the largest hyperbaric testing facil- ity in the Southern Hemisphere. Instrumented and temperature con- trolled, the facility specialises in long-term material and equipment testing in a simulated deep-water environment. The largest chamber has internal dimensions of Ø1.6 X 7.28 m and can be pressurised to 52 MPa. Test durations of two weeks are not uncommon and can – in theory – be extended indefinitely. Matrix also offers a full integration service and can assist with experimental design, handling fixtures, in-chamber instrumentation and analysis of test results. The vessels and preparation area operate in the shadow of a 40-tonne capacity crane.
