WELL-TUNED DISTRIBUTION
PREPD is available in select sport-specialty stores, such as cycling, running and triathlon outlets.
“We now actually have 26 sport-speciality stores; they’re mostly in Adelaide, but we do have several in Victoria, NSW and Queensland.
“Beyond that, we will eventually also have our product range inside the larger sports, chemist and nutrition chains, before we look to go global.”
To help growth, Preserve Health will look to expand its sales team later this year across the eastern seaboard.
Sales are split fairly closely 50/50 between retail and
“We definitely have a pretty ambitious view of PREPD’s global potential. The US
and Europe are at the front
of our radar; collectively they’re around two-thirds
of the global sports and nutrition market. So we
want to grow, get our business model on point
as much as possible, then take that as a recipe to
adapt and scale-up overseas.”
David Vincent says beyond expanding export markets, another of Preserve Health’s long-term goals is to be a household name for elite and serious athletes.
“We really see the potential to position PREPD as the most advanced hydration drink on the planet, and have it used
by all elite athletes and sporting teams.
“One of the things we’re really focused on is that PREPD is a ‘hydration enhancer’, so it’s a complement that helps sports drinks and water absorb and work better.” ✷
✷ INTHEPIPELINE A GROWING
PORTFOLIO
Currently, PREPD comes in a RTD formulation in mango & passionfruit and strawberry & kiwi.
In the middle of this year, Preserve Health will add a powder version. The two new flavours, chocolate and vanilla, will come in both sachets and tubs.
PREPD CEO David Vincent says Recover will also have added proteins, targeting muscle recovery and a rehydration boost all-in-one.
“ We really see the potential to position PREPD as the most advanced hydration drink on the planet.”
“Our plan is to grow to 250 sport-speciality stores by the end of next year. South Australia has roughly eight per cent of the cycling and speciality stores in the country; most are in Victoria, NSW and Queensland, but we do have a national focus. We’ll also target some gyms; there are some chains, especially some of the 24/7 gyms, whose clientele who are more strongly motivated by improving their performance.
online sales, direct from Preserve Health. “We’re happy with that, although I think in time, as we bring on more retail stores, that will
change in favour of retail.”
HYDRATION BREAKTHROUGH
Preserve Health is also doing online sales into New Zealand, with the future potential for distribution partners there.
