Wiley builds new HQ for JBS Australia
JBS Australia has branched out into a new head office administration facility in Queensland after outgrowing its existing office space in a move that consolidates teams from multiple sites and locations.
The new office space allows Australia's largest beef processor more room and was designed and delivered by Australian design build firm Wiley.
The move was planned to support the company's collaborative culture with a complex located in Dinmore that gives 200 JBS workers open-plan offices and larger and more flexible meeting rooms.
The new administration facility follows a signature design by Wiley to assimilate with the other buildings on site, with the JBS signature ‘curved roofing’ frontage.
“We have worked with JBS for many years and we are excited to see this new development come to life,” Wiley managing director, Tom Wiley said. “At Wiley we love open collaborative, future- focused work-spaces and we are really happy to have helped create one for JBS.”
The new head office includes an outdoor BBQ/cooking area to showcase JBS product as well as a commercial kitchen with dining capacity for 200 people with the ability for hosting cocktail functions.
Wiley has also recently strengthened its New Zealand presence following the completion of its acquisition of a long-term project partner.
Wiley finalised the acquisition of Milmeq's primary food processing design and engineering consultancy team late last month in a move that further establishes the company in New Zealand and provides it with a permanent presence there.
“We are excited to bring the Milmeq team and their wealth of experience on board. The acquisition strengthens our

existing Wiley New Zealand operations and our ability to service our clients globally,” Wiley’s chief strategy officer, Brandon Miller said.
“Dunedin represents a great synthesis of trained engineering and design capability combined with strong links to R&D through the University of Otago. With strong technology infrastructure, access to international flights, and the ability to collaborate with other technology providers Dunedin is attractive in a world that is increasingly more connected.
“We continue to see opportunities throughout New Zealand and the broader Australasian arena. We are visiting both Wiley and Milmeq clients to ensure continuity of service and support across the food industry. We are also looking forward to becoming further integrated into the New Zealand food landscape and developing strong relationships across industry,” Miller said.
All existing project contracts will be completed by Milmeq Limited, and new contracts will be transitioned to Wiley in Australia and New Zealand, Wiley said. ✷
