  High speed electrons purify homes
THE QUALITY OF the air in Australian homes can have a substantial effect on the health and well- being of occupants but there is an easy solution.
One of the most direct ways to improve indoor air quality is to install effective air conditioning and air purification.
As ‘air specialists’, Daikin is dedicated to ‘Per- fecting the Air’ by delivering innovative and ef- fective climate control and purifying solutions
that contribute to comfortable and healthy in- door environments.
Daikin’s Streamer technology is a market-lead- ing advancement in integrated air purification.
The streamer discharge is a plasma discharge that generates high-speed electrons to continu- ously purify the air.
Streamer technology effectively removes bac- teria, odours, indoor air pollutants such as for-

maldehyde and more than 99.6 per cent of pollen, mould and allergens.
Streamer Technology consists of three C’s to decompose these harmful substances:
• Clash – Harmful substances are trapped by
the High Efficiency Particulate Filter.
• Cycle – The deodorising filter decomposes
odours in the air.
• Clean – Bacteria is removed from all filters for
maintenance free operation and increased longevity.
Streamer Technology is integrated into a
range of Daikin products including Daikin’s Ali- ra X and Zena split systems and air purifiers.
Later this year Streamer technology will be in- tegrated into a new range of Daikin cassette and ducted systems.

 Ductless systems replace traditional hvac
THE GLOBAL DUCTLESS heating & cooling systems market is estimated to be $US98.4 bil- lion in 2021 and is projected to reach $US145 bil- lion by 2026; it is expected to grow at a CAGR of 8.1 per cent from 2021 to 2026.
The growth in smart homes is expected to cre- ate demand for ductless systems, according to the ResearchandMarkets.com report.
A HVAC system is used in smart homes for controlling air temperature, humidity, and fresh air intake. It helps maintain better airflow and comfortable temperatures in every room.
“SMART HOMES ARE DRIVING THE DEMAND FOR DUCTLESS SYSTEMS.”
In a smart home, users can monitor the sys- tem performance and respond to system-gener- ated alarms from local or remote locations.
New energy-efficient ductless systems are replacing the traditional HVAC systems. Upcoming technologies such as ice-powered AC, motion-activated air conditioning systems, and smart vents are integrated into modern
Smart homes control air temperature, humidity and airflow.
ductless systems to increase energy efficiency, re- duce energy costs, and lower carbon emissions.
The residential application segment is expect- ed to hold the largest market share during the forecast period.
The growth is attributed to the increasing adoption of ductless heating & cooling systems in residential buildings, growing demand for energy-efficient devices, and rising awareness regarding energy conservation in developing regions such as the Asia Pacific region.
APAC is projected to be the fastest-growing
ductless heating & cooling systems market. The growth of the APAC ductless heating & cooling sys- tems market can be attributed to the growing in- vestment in building & construction in the region.
Additionally, ductless heating & cooling sys- tems manufacturers are targeting this region, as it is the strongest regional market.
Plus China is the leading producer and con- sumer of ductless heating & cooling systems in the region. Other major markets in the region are emerging economies such as Japan, India, and Thailand. ✺
