A new dish
THIS month we take a close look at two big sectors – beverage and meat – and it’s clear that they have many things in common, including a strong growth trajectory and the potential for disruption - in the form of a sugar backlash, and the meat-free movement respectively. In this issue we take a look at some of these challenges, as well as the opportunities that are emerging in response to these deep changes in consumer sentiment.

risk losing market share. The juice sub-sector is a

consumer preferences are driving this market.

Coca-Cola Amatil’s $165m shiny new facility in
Queensland, and how the latest technology is
boosting this beverage giant’s ability to innovate
in a fast changing market. And not to be left out,
TWE’s premium Penfolds brand is also getting
adventurous with the launch of some interesting new products including a fortified Barossa shiraz enlivened with Asian Baijiu for the Chinese market.
