  AAMC PARTNERS WITH STELVIO
                           BRIEFS
       AAMC HAS PARTNERED WITH STELVIO
Australia to deploy the EstImage Motor and Estlmage Connect solutions to streamline its operations and improve communications across three independ- ent business units.
With offices in Melbourne and Bris- bane, AAMC is supported by an Austral- ia-wide team of specialist consultants. AAMC operates through three inde- pendent business units that solve differ- ent problems for customers across dif- ferent markets, including loss and litigation assessing and repair manage- ment. AAMC was restricted by limited access to comprehensive accident and damage details early in the repair man- agement process and its leg-
acy system lacked the con- nectivity needed to deliver security and compliance re- quirements to customers.
To solve this, AAMC iden- tified Stelvio's EstImage product suite — including EstImage Motor and EstIm- age Connect— as the ideal, secure solution to support its end-to-end repair manage-
ment process and meet AAMC’s business requirements.
By leveraging this solution, AAMC significantly improved its communica- tion with repairers and other key stake- holders across its business units. As a re- sult, 100 per cent of business communication with AAMC’s repair management ecosystem is now deliv- ered digitally via EstImage.
AAMC also deployed EstImage Con- nect, which connects AAMC with cus- tomers to capture information and as- sess claims in real time with the support of the latest web technology, to comple- ment its motor solution.
Yannick Giguère, Stelvio’s general man- ager (left) said, “EstImage Motor and Connect have helped AAMC increase the problem-solving capability of its three independent business units while simul- taneously improving the company’s connectivity with customers, repairers, and other key stakeholders in the repair management
ecosystem.”
       INSURER RESULTS
SUNCORP AND IAG’S PROFITS HAVE BOTH
been hit by increased natural hazard costs. Suncorp has recorded a significant profit slump of nearly 30%. The six months to December 2021 saw the Group managing 19 separate events; more than 50,000 natural hazard claims, at an esti- mated cost of $695 million — which is $205 million over the allowance set for the half year. Suncorp’s net profit after tax was also down by 20.8% to $388 million.
In the motor insurance sphere there was growth of 7.8 per cent.
IAG’s insurance profit down is nearly 60 per cent. Managing director and CEO Nick Hawkins said: “IAG delivered a sol- id performance in 1H22, reflecting the foundations we have put in place to cre- ate a stronger and more resilient IAG.
We’ve reset the business with a simpler operating model, new leadership, and a clear strategy for growth which we are investing in to create long-term value for our stakeholders”.
"IAG’s insurance profit of $282m (1H21: $667m) was impacted by signifi- cant natural perils cost of $681m largely from severe weather events in October.
“We delivered a net profit of $173m compared to a $460m loss in 1H21."
Meanwhile QBE Insurance Group posted financial results that point to a major turnaround. For the year ended December 31, 2021, QBE posted a net profit after tax of US$750 million – a huge leap from the US$1.52 billion net loss after tax suffered in the same 12-month span in 2020.
