New models in premium ducted range
SINCE 2015, DAIKIN Industries Ltd has pro- vided worldwide free access to 93 patents that aim to support air conditioning manufacturers transition to using R32 refrigerant.
Compared to the commonly used R410A, R32 has a 66 per cent lower ‘Global Warming Poten- tial Factor’ which provides less risk of harm to the environment.
During this time Daikin has expanded the use of R32 to a vast majority of its split system ranges and now are happy to announce the launch of the new Daikin R32 Premium Inverter and R32 Inverter Ducted Series.
The new R32 ducted series also see additional models in the series. The R32 Premium series sees the inclusion of a new 8.5kW model added to its single phase range of 7.1kW to 16.0kW models.
Whilst the new R32 Inverter series introduces new 5.0kW, 6.0kW and 8.5kW models, expanding the single phase range from 5.0kW to 16.0kW, the three phase models now start from 7.1kW to 16.0kW.
Both series feature compact indoor unit heights
of 400mm(h) for 140-160 Class Premium models and 300mm(h) for 50-100 Class Inverter models which is perfect for R22 Retrofit applications and tight ceiling spaces.
The new R32 Premium Inverter and R32 In- verter Series Indoor Units are proudly manufac- tured in Australia.
Daikin Australia manufacturing manager,
Nicholas Macdonald, said the R32 ranges are the result of ongoing local R&D and development by the Aussie manufacturing team.
“Drawing on the strength of our global busi- ness, we are very proud to expand our Australian made offering with products incorporating low- er GWP refrigerant and Australian specific de- sign,” Macdonald said. ✺
