UNIVERSAL RIVETING
SOLUTIONS
THE SYSTEM IS A BESPOKE PRODUCT
for riveting and pressing out self-pierc- ing rivets for autobody repairers.
Car-O-Liner says the lightweight, clever design allows technicians to com- plete repairs in record time. Its universal technology means you can use various attachments for different applications, including pressing out and calibrating.
Car-O-Liner's PNP 90 and PNP 90 XT2 riveting tools are ideal solutions to completing all OEM homologated blind rivet and SPR riveting operations in a single system.
They are specifically developed for the most difficult materials such as Ultra High Strength Steels and modern dis- similar laminate materials in the auto- motive, truck and bus repair industry. The premier PNP 90 XT2 is an adjustable 10 tonne pneumatic-hydraulic system for riveting and pressing out self-pierc-
ing rivets. The standard PNP 90 has a pushing (compression) force of six tonnes. Blind rivet capability is also available to run from the same system.
This universal riveting system can save thousands of dollars versus hav- ing to purchase numerous riveting sys- tems as specified individually by vari-
ous OEMs. PNP XT2’s dial provides variable adjustment of the working pressure so the output force can be controlled to the desired level.

WIELANDER & SCHILL XPRESS 800
THE WIELANDER & SCHILL XPRESS
800 is a modular riveting tool system with 250 kN (25 tons) pressing force
The set includes capability for: self piercing rivets (SPR) – flow form rivets (FFR) – blind rivets (BR) – blind rivets nuts (BRN) – solid rivets (SR).
The glues and rivets used vary be- tween manufacturers and it is im- portant for the repairer to under- stand these differences.
Alongside self-piercing rivets and blind rivets, another option for join-
ing several layers of thin material to- gether is flow form rivets or solid self-piercing rivets. However, some repair shops are understandably re- luctant to invest in a rivet gun nec- essary to undertake these tasks, ar- guing that they don’t get enough work to justify the initial outlay. It is an investment that will be needed sooner or later with the changes in repair processes says NCS Welding.
