for Major Service Provider (MSP) is to actively encourage ‘healthy competition in the market, including fostering viable and vibrant SME’ enabling higher levels of collaboration between CASG and MSPs. Providence has wholeheartedly embraced the underpinning aims of the MSP construct by transforming from having a contractor- led workforce to one of permanent, career-supported staff. This change of approach is assisting cement the MSP construct within Defence and defence industry and is delivering benefits to Defence including: Lower cost rates for contracted staff; Growing Defence industry capacity and capability, and Growing Defence and Defence industry partnerships and mutual understanding.
DSTG is the Australian government’s lead agency responsible for applying science and technology to safeguard Australia and its national interests.
