Compressors, Condensers & Evaporators
CONDENSERS
Offering a capacity range from 4 – 400 kW, a compact design and heat exchangers adapted for different refrigerants, the NEW Buffalo Trident commercial product series are perfectly suited for the numerous applications in Commercial Refrigeration. The GCHC (horizontal design) and GCVC (vertical design) condensers are avail- able for all common and new synthetic refriger- ants as well as propane.
The CO2 gas coolers named GGHC and GGVC have a maximum operating pressure of 120 bar and are thus ideally suited for subcriti- cal as well as transcritical plant designs. The GFHC and GFVC dry coolers complete the product family for all applications with regard to indirect cooling. The new condensers can thus notably contribute to reducing the refrig- erant charge of a plant and its GWP.
A lower charge can additionally contribute to minimising the number of required leak tightness tests according to the F-Gas Regula- tion. NEW Buffalo Trident air condensers in various production families are available up to 1900kW capacity.
EVAPORATIVE
CONDENSER
The new ECOSS (Evaporative Con-
denser Stainless Steel) shows once again
the distinguishing characteristics of a premi- um manufacturer in the refrigeration industry.
ECOSS has been developed for cooling ap- plications in industrial refrigeration, air con- ditioning, energy and process cooling. The product is tailored to these sectors‘ require- ments and presents an elaborate solution for prevalent challenges like water quality, passi- vation and oxidation.
Self- passivating stainless steel obviates ox- idation and provides a significantly longer product life than galvanized steel, while the stainless steel coils and fully welded stainless steel cold water basins uphold the high quality standard expected.
ECOSS units were tested in an EC LAB ac- cording to Ashrae 64 standard. The tests showed that the performance ratings are also in accord- ance with CTI requirements.
The units are delivered as separate coil sec- tion and basin, the modular frame design with
high torsional stiffness ensures the sections remain perfectly intact during transportation. Due to the approximately 50 % less rigging weight compared to conventional designs, a smaller crane is required for assembly.
No further tools are needed for assembly; the box sections allow for trouble-free alignment without sealer tape, drift pins or screw tappers.
The basin design for the ECOSS incorporates a depressed trough welded to inclined outer sections which results in a lower water volume within the basin section. This funnelled design also allows for any dirt, sediment etc. to natu- rally flow towards the strainer.
This design results in there being 50 % less wa- ter in circulation, which means there is less wa- ter to treat in comparison to other designs. ✺
Increased performance and flexibility

The CMX blast freezer boasts a 65% increase in performance compared to its predecessor.
KELVION HAS INTRODUCED a num- ber of new products including new V- Bank condensers.
New V-Bank condensers with multiple tube and fin patterns enable a flexible mix and match from a modular range.
With today’s increasing demands for re- frigeration, air conditioning and data centre cooling, coupled with the rising global trend of urbanization, demand for more cooling ca- pacity per square meter has never been high- er. The new range is available with a full port- folio of accessories including fan speed control, smart control and adiabatic cooling.
Another future-oriented and effective new product is the Kelvion CMX blast freezer, available from 13-116kW. It boasts an increase of 65% in performance com- pared to its predecessor.
The electrical power consumption has been reduced considerably, and the air flow
rate for blast freezing has been increased by 31% to a maximum of 86.490m3/h.
The saved electrical energy contributes to increasing the actually delivered cool- ing capacity. Precisely matched and even more flow optimized fans and heat ex- changers result in an improved distribu- tion of air in the cooler. The evaporator’s surface can now be specified up to 685m2.
In addition, Kelvion is introducing a new version of the KDC unit cooler for 90bar (g) – specifically developed for highly reliable and safe transcritical CO2 refrigeration systems. The air cooler is intended for uses in commer- cial HVACR, cold rooms, and freezer rooms.
Its dual air discharge enables uniform distribution of temperature, and two fan speeds allow either high air capacity, or quiet operation. The new 90bar version provides maximum cooling duty of 1.7 to 23kW.✺
