and awkward phone calls, social media platforms offer a range of ways to com- municate which are quick and give cus- tomers direct access to your business at a time that is convenient to them. These methods of contact also mean that as a business, you can respond at times which are convenient for you. Communicating with your customers or potential custom- ers like this is a really great way for peo- ple to see how you interact with your buyers. Positive online interactions with your customers goes a long way.

Platforms are then able to deliver content which is localised to you. Have you ever noticed when you open your news feed that you’re not seeing the local news from another state or overseas if you have no connection there? Social media platforms recognise that you’re not in- terested in the news that’s not relevant to you, so they don’t deliver it.
