REFINISHING
Paint coatings can affect the performance of the front and rear-mounted radar sensors. A limit of 150 microns is set to ensure integrity of sensors’ signal strength.
SENSORS
Radar sensors generate electromagnetic waves and calculate the distance/ direction of an object from the time it takes for an electromagnetic wave to travel to the target and back.
BUMPER REPLACEMENT
Bumpers with the Driving Assistance System cannot be repaired but must be replaced or the system will be compromised.
ACOUSTIC WINDSCREEN
Normal plastic interlayer replaced with PVB interlayer to reduce engine and wind noise and to integrate with the KFAS camera system and HUD. It also makes up part of the cabin strength integrity.
