Penney goes on to say that Margaret has a delightful and sunny disposition and that she is always happy and upbeat. She greets every single customer with such warmth and genuine concern that they are immedi- ately made feel confident and at ease. She is able to smooth over ruffled feathers quickly and efficiently and this is re- flective of her incredible communica-
tion skills.

JOONDALUP SMASH REPAIRS, WA – ESTIMATOR
Chloe is the primary estimator at Joonda- lup Smash Repairs with a background as a refinish technician. She is the customer's second point of contact at the site when coming in for an estimate. She follows the job through the workshop to ensure an outstanding result for the customer.
Her commitment to customer service is 100% Chloe is an integral part of the team and is often the reason that morale is so high throughout the workshop says her nominator Jessica Sowden.

Clearly excelling at what she does was her MO from the start as she won an ap- prentice of the year award in 2016 when she was training as a refinish techni- cian. As well as being a qualified refin- ish technician Chloe is always looking to upskill. She has taken part in I-CAR and AudaNet training and is across all of the insurance and industry platforms.
Jessica describes Chloe as the backbone of the site. Her expert quoting is what sets the business up for quality repairs, custom- er satisfaction and profitability. She is well respected amongst the insurer personnel she interacts with. Such are her skill sets and industry knowledge that she is a fan- tastically versatile asset within the busi- ness and can cover other roles such as re- finish technician, customer service officer or production manager when required.
“Chloe is always happy and friendly”, Jessica says. “Her customer service skills are exemplary. She is very knowledgeable on industry standards and always ensures she is across any changes that are happen- ing in the industry. With technological ad- vances and constant insurance industry changes, it can be quite the feat to keep apprised of all the relevant information. It’s a real credit to her that she does so.

NORTHSIDE SMASH REPAIRS, QLD – HEAD REFINISH TECHNICIAN
Jess is the lead refinish technician at the Everton Hills branch of Northside Smash Repairs and she holds I-CAR Platinum status. Her duties involve daily manage- ment of the paint production schedule and quality control of all paint jobs.
Northside co-owner Leah Cahill says she feels blessed to have Jess as part of the team.
“Her care factor is enormous and she’s the mother hen of the shop – always checking to see if anyone needs help.” Jess has just taken a new female refinish technician apprentice under her wing and Leah says that her patience and huge knowledge base is perfect to bring on the next generation.
Jess enjoys the team culture within the business and seeing the final result of each job gives her great personal, and job satisfaction. “Her work ethic is sec- ond-to-none. She is always the first to put her hand up to stay late if needs be. She is such an important part of the team and gets on with everyone.
“She constantly looks for ways to im- prove efficiency in the paint shop. While she has an eye on targets, it’s never at the expense of quality,” says Leah.
“She has great leadership skills with- out thinking of herself as a leader and a real talent for production scheduling and organisation.”
Jess has been an integral part of the Northside Smash Repairs team for over five years. She is also described as an ab- solute perfectionist, with colour match- ing skills that are beyond impressive.
