 STEVEN BRETT
MANAGING DIRECTOR AXALTA ANZ PLATINUM SPONSOR
Axalta is proud to once again be a Plati- num sponsor of the Paint & Panel Body- shop Awards. Each year, we are im- pressed by the high quality of nominees and winners in each category. The un- derlying effort that they have put into their businesses is a credit to them and the industry in general.
In some states, bodyshops have done it tough amid lockdowns and ever- changing restrictions. The fact that even in these circumstances the winners have been able to highlight their out- standing work is a testament to them- selves and their teams.
As well as sponsoring the Awards over- all, Axalta is also very pleased to present the Axalta Business Excellence Award. The aim of this award is to highlight a body- shop that has created a business model that will survive and thrive in the future by in- vesting in the latest repair technology, em- bracing changes, keeping ahead of the technology curve and by being involved in the industry and training staff.
We not only congratulate the Axalta Business Excellence Award winner for their outstanding achievements, but also every winner whose ability to adapt to challenging market conditions and commitment to providing quality ser- vice is inspirational.
STEVE O’BRIEN
MANAGING DIRECTOR, DNS
GOLD SPONSOR
What sweet relief, we’ve all survived the last two years and now with vaccination levels exceeding 80% nationally boom times are ahead. Extra cars on the road, local holidays and reduced public trans- port patronage will all contribute to more incidents.
Unfortunately, the big limiting factor to reaping the rewards for some shops will be staffing. Of course, this is where the nominees and winners of the 2021 Paint & Panels are the exception. Their long-term dedication to constant busi- ness renewal is their recipe for success.
Regardless of obstacles, like a pan- demic they have continued to improve efficiency and productivity through pro- cess updates, training and equipment renewal. This not only helps with turn- ing over “more with less” but also makes them an attractive place to work.
iBodyshop, which is now used by more than 1300 shops is constantly evolving to keep up with the ever- changing industry needs. Our pledge to the industry is to keep delivering the tools you need to constantly improve.
Congratulations to all the winners – to be recognised by your peers as one of Australia’s premier shops is an out- standing achievement, particularly dur- ing these uncertain times.
