   Remove the risk of contamination
ALPHA CONTROLS & Instrumentation offers Covid-19 Response instrumentation products that are designed to reduce your chance of con- tamination.
President of Alpha Controls, David Sand, said the company is focused on keeping patients and the general public safe during this pandemic.
“We are thrilled to partner with first class manufacturers such as Setra Systems,” Sand said.
“The room pressure monitors and environmental monitors we offer from Setra Systems are designed to keep critical spaces such as hospital rooms, operat- ing rooms, pharmacies and cleanrooms safe by reducing the chance of contamination.”
The Setra AIIR Watch is an advanced air cleaner designed
to be quiet, portable, and effective at neutralising 99.99 per cent of airborne germs while also in- creasing air circulation.
AIIR Watch has a dual filtration method forc- ing air through a HEPA filter and by UV light. It is also available as an air purifier re-circulator or as a negative pressure generating machine for isolation space applications.
In addition to the AIIR Watch, Setra has created the simplest and easiest to use visual room pressure mon- itor in the market, powered by Se- tra's legendary capacitive pres-
sure sensor.
The Setra Lite now has even
more capability with newly launched optional features including a configurable audible alarm and a Dual Alert option for visual indica-

tion both inside and outside a pressurised space. Best of all, it can tie into your building man- agement system and has a plug-and-play con- nection with its very own Setra FLEX Environ-
mental Room Monitor.
The SRCM Room Pressure Monitor is the
highest performance BACnet capable product for measuring low differential pressure in critical applications.
Unlike the SRPM, the SRCM can monitor and alarm two rooms through one device, as well as display three additional parameters such as tem- perature, humidity and CO2.
   Creating hotels of the future
CARRIER GLOBAL CORPORATION has an- nounced a partnership with Marriott Interna- tional to enable more sustainable buildings, im- prove the customer experience, shorten construction time and reduce construction costs.
The two companies will explore the devel- opment of new technologies to improve areas including in-room environment and hotel construction.
Carrier will join forces with the Marriott De- sign Lab to develop advances such as opti- mised building systems for modular construc- tion and IoT-connected hotels for an improved guest experience.
Senior vice president of Carrier’s building solu- tions group, Rajan Goel, said Carrier will establish a dedicated collaboration team to innovate based on a multi-year agreement that demonstrates a shared commitment to sustainable building prac- tices and improving the guest experience.

"Carrier has long pioneered disruptive new technologies in collaboration with our custom- ers and we are excited to work with Marriott as a natural step in that journey,” he said.
“We will leverage Carrier's innovation capa- bilities to create differentiated healthier, safer, sustainable and intelligent solutions for the hos- pitality industry."
“DEDICATED TEAMS WILL DEVELOP OPTIMISED BUILDING SYSTEMS FOR MODULAR CONSTRUCTION.”
Senior vice president of global design strate- gies at Marriott International, Jeff Voris, said the collaboration with Marriott will also focus on how the construction of hotels can be stream- lined to reduce cost, drive energy efficiency and shorten construction times.
"We are thrilled to work with Carrier, a leading innovator in sustainable building solutions, as we look to ways to enhance the travel experience for hotel guests, owners and employees across the industry,” Voris said.
“The Marriott Design Lab is a Research and Development Lab working at the leading edge of design and innovation. “
New humidistat option
DRI-STEEM CORPORATION HAS added a new humidistat option with BACnet capabil- ity to their expanding catalogue of products.
DriSteem’s new humidistat option with BAC- net capability enables pressurised steam dis- persion to communicate humidifier demand and provide status in the space to a building automation system.
The BACnet humidistat model TRI2 comes with two options: as a 2-piece kit that includes a wall controller with duct sensor, or as a room wall humidistat only.
DriSteem director of marketing, Jennifer Montville, said the company is always looking at ways to improve its product range.
“The new BACnet humidistat offers consum- ers more options for our technology to suit their needs,” she said.
