FOOD SERVICE
AUS
MELBOURNE RESTAURATEUR, SCOTT PICKETT, REVEALS HIS FAVOURITE, VICTORIAN VENUES FOR A MEAL.
BREAKFAST
Tinker in Northcote. It’s next door to Estelle Bistro and ESP so it’s somewhere I visit regularly. The breakfast menu is great, and good coffee is guaranteed. I try to have a new dish each time.
VICTORIA’S MUST TRY DISH
I’m an advocate that Dan Hunter is really capturing the essence of Australian food at Brae, and strongly feel that it is a ‘must- visit’ place for anyone living in or visiting Melbourne.
CELEBRATION
Last year, I went to Minamishima, which is just off Bridge Road in Richmond. It is definitely the best Japanese in the country and an incredible restaurant experience, I highly recommend it.
FRIENDS
Supermaxi in Fitzroy North. The restaurant is all about great home- style Italian cooking. It’s somewhere that you can drop in and be certain to receive a good feed with great company.
FAMILY
I love to take a drive with the kids. We tend to head out to The Independent in Gembrook, as it is perfect for a Sunday family lunch, and the food is always great.
UNIQUELY MELBOURNE
Flower Drum is my go-to for a special evening. It’s a restaurant that has stood the test of time and never fails to impress.
