STEVEN BRETT MANAGING
DIRECTOR AXALTA ANZ
“Axalta is proud to be once again be a Plat- inum sponsor of the Paint & Panel Body- shop Awards. Each year, we are impressed by the high quality of nominees and win- ners in each category. Whilst this year has been different in many ways, the quality of work from the winners is something that has remained of a high standard.
“It has been a very challenging year in Australia with droughts, floods, fires and a pandemic which has al- tered life as we know it in 2020. As we all adapt to a new way of life, there have been many changes to the way we do things. With the introduction of new regulations to make businesses COVID-Safe, bodyshops have had to find new ways of operating and in some instances finding ways to stay afloat during lockdowns.
“Even amidst all this change, body- shops still made the time to participate in the Awards and be judged in some of their harder mo- ments. With tradi- tional judging no
longer an option, each bodyshop em- braced the challenge of taking part in a virtual judging so the show could go on. The fact that even in these circumstances the winners have been able to highlight their outstanding work is a testament to themselves and their teams.
“As well as sponsoring the Awards overall, Axalta is also a proud sponsor of the Axalta Business Excellence Award, which is more prevalent than ever. The aim of this award is to high- light a bodyshop who has created a business model that will survive and thrive in the future by investing in the latest repair technology, embracing changes, keeping ahead of the technol- ogy curve and by being involved in the industry and training staff.
“We not only congratulate the Axalta Business Excellence Award winner for

their outstanding achievements, but also every winner whose ability to adapt to challenging market conditions and commitment to providing quality ser- vice is inspirational.”
