The Australian Packaging & Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) recently hosted the largest Australian Pavilion to date at ProPak Asia 2018 in Thailand.
As part of the pavilion, the AP- PMA also coordinated a networking reception with Austrade and the Australian Chamber of Commerce to Thailand, which was attended by over 50 people. The reception saw His Excellency Paul Robilliard, the Australian Ambassador for Thai- land, Australian Trade and Invest- ment Commission (Austrade) as the special guest with the Ambassador taking time to visit all the Australian exhibitors and speak with them
As a first-time exhibitor,
we found ProPak Asia 2018 to be an interesting and friendly forum to learn about the opportunities and people operating in the south-east Asian food manufacturing market.”
PROPAK Asia is an increasingly popular processing and pack- aging trade event for Asia’s ex- panding food, drink and phar-
maceutical industries. This year's event saw a nine per cent growth since last year, covering
over 58,000 square metres of exhibi- tion space, and featuring over 1580 exhibitors from 44 countries. Over 5000 processing and packaging technologies and innovations were shown across nine zones to over 48,799 visitors from 79 countries over the four-day event.
There were also 18 international pavilions from Australia, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Ja- pan, Korea, Singapore, Spain, Tai- wan, UK and the US.
The APPMA developed the pa- vilion as a way of assisting Austra- lian packaging and processing manufacturers and distributors in showcasing their products and companies to the ASEAN Region. Exhibiting in the Australian Pa- vilion were Fibre King, HMPS, INOX Australia, Natec Network – Gold Peg (Australia) and Natec, Process Plant Network, Profile So- lutions, Rhima Australia and the APPMA. APPMA member compa- nies Heat & Control and tna Solu- tions also exhibited at the show in the processing zone. APPMA members who visited ProPak Asia included Australis Engineering, A&D Australasia, Foodmach, Lan- tech and Ernest Fleming.
