KEEP CLEAN IN THE WASH BAY
ECLIPSE ENVIRONMENTAL IS A LEADING
provider of workshop and wash bay solu- tions for the automotive industry. National sales manager Rod Andriske says: “With Over 20 years of experience we pride our- selves in developing purpose built solu- tions to our clients’ challenges.”
According to Andriske there are still a substantial amount of bodyshops in Aus- tralia whose wash bays allow contami- nants into the storm water system. Waste water contaminated with detergents, hy- drocarbons and suspended solids should not be released to stormwater. It should be treated with an approved trade waste system and released to sewer once a trade waste application has been approved.
Allowing untreated water to drain away is illegal and subject to heavy fines — it is not unknown that businesses who fail to comply have been shut down.
Eclipse Environmental is an Australi- an company with a passion for local manufacture and service delivery.
It offers a turnkey package for the fit-out of workshops or the installation of a wash bay. Rather than the client having to or- ganise and manage a range of contractors from hoist installers, plumbers, electri- cians, floor painters etc, Eclipse Environ- mental has the skills, resources, capacity, equipment and experience to take on the entire project – Australia-wide.
KEY FEATURES OF PARTNERING WITH ECLIPSE INCLUDE:
• Turnkey Approach: Eclipse Environ-
mental provide a turnkey solution to all aspects of the installation process, ensuring that there is a co-ordinated programme and that the receipt and installation of key components is se- quenced to meet this programme.
• Single Point of Contact: There will be a single point of contact during the plan- ning, installation stage, warranty and
ongoing operation of the service facility. • No Subcontractors: Eclipse prefers not to use subcontractors for any portion of the installation using instead its
own highly skilled workforce.
• Accountability: Eclipse takes full re-
sponsibility for all work undertaken. • Flexibility: As manufacturers of many items within the proposal, Eclipse has a great deal of flexibility to swiftly cope with changes which will inevita-
bly occur on site.
PPG FOCUS ON SUSTAINABILITY
Federico Menta, PPG Global Technical Director, Automotive Customer Development, demonstrates PPG’s sustainable coatings at the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology.
Eclipse Environmental offers a turnkey service to ensure a stylish, but most importantly compliant washbay solution
AS PART OF A SPECIAL ‘EUROPEAN RE-
searchers’ Night’ event in Milan, a team of PPG experts has taken the opportuni- ty to highlight the sustainability bene- fits of the company’s advanced coatings. The Europe-wide public event was all about showcasing the diversity of sci- ence and the way it impacts on citizens' daily lives.
Utilising the museum’s interactive chemistry laboratory the PPG team car- ried out experiments to demonstrate the properties of PPG’s automotive and heat- reflecting coatings. One of the high-
lights of the night was a coating that was actually inspired by the heat-reflective properties of an eggplant.
The PPG demonstration team was led by Federico Menta:. “At PPG, we are committed to innovating sustainable products that enable our customers’ sus- tainability. In the automotive industry our industry-leading electrocoat tech- nology helps customers reduce their waste and energy use and we have de- veloped a range of coatings and related products that support the transforma- tion to electric vehicles.”
